She urged upon all stakeholders, members of NGOs, organizations, establishments to actively participate in it. Swacch Sundor Silchar will be launched on July 14 at Gandhi Bhawan here. Similarly stray animals are also utilized to convert organic waste into useful resources while simultaneously providing them shelter and food.

The district administration is actively working with the foremost expert on SLRM C Srinivasan to evolve a sustainable and employment intensive plan for waste management of Silchar. It needs to be however emphasized that citizen’s active participation, involvement and feedback would be the most crucial aspect of entire project.
