Swachhta Pakhwada commemorated across Assam

GUWAHATI: In collaboration with the Citizens of Assam, Red Horns Division ended the two week Swachhta Pakhwada across various districts in Assam. As part of the initiative, cleanliness drive was undertaken along with youth and children of Chirang, Kokrajhar, Goalpara.

School premises and children central locations in villages were cleaned apart from conduct of lecture for students to increase their awareness on hygiene and sanitation, a press release stated.

In the districts of Karbi Anglong, an informative film was also screened for the benefit of students of Diphu Government College to promote cleanliness in society. The active participation and enthusiasm shown by the youth and students is a definite sign of their strong determination towards a ‘Clean Assam’ and ‘Clean India.
