Swahid Divas observed

Biswath Chariali, Dec 10: Swahid Divas was also observed in Biswath district along with the rest of the State by AASU, AJYCP and AGP with several programmes. Biswath Chariali unit of AASU started the day’s programme with flag hoisting by its president Bikram Bikash Borah followed by lighting of lamp at swahid bedi by general secretary Bhaskar Chamuah. Social workers Jiten Bhagawati, Apurva Das, Bidyut Sharma and others were present on the occasion. Pabhoi Anchalik AASU observed the day at Diring Pathar ME School. The programme was conducted by Sonitpur district AASU assistant general secretary Ajmat Sheikh while shradhanjali was iugurated by general secretary Jintu Borah. Biswath district AGP held a semir on the occasion with former MLA Prabin Hazarika in the chair. Apurva Das, Atul Bhuyan, Kesav Kalita, Dwijen Saikia and Kandarpa Hazarika spoke a few words in the programme. Biswath AJYCP lit earthen lamps in the evening.
