Symposium on Nepali poems and ghazal

UDALGURI, Jan 7:  A symposium on Nepali poems and ghazal began at Golmagaon High School premise on Thursday.The programme was iugurated by renowned litterateur and academician Tarapati Upadhyaya who urged the new writers to delve into the new trends of writing. Devi Nepal, assistant professor of Nepal Sanskrit University and ghazal specialist Suresh Suvedi guided the participants on the techniques of writing. Bishnu Sarma, the president and Lakshman Adhikari, the general secretary of Udalguri district Nepali Sahitya Sabha conducted this session. The vice-president of Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha, visiting litterateur Bhanu Adhikari of Kalimpong, Rabi Adhikari of Nikasi and Sanskrit scholar Bidyapati Dahal were also present during the session.
