Women’s organization ‘Uttaran’ formed in Golaghat

Golaghat: With a vision to work for the uplift of the youth of Golaghat and to serve the society, a women’s organization named ‘Uttaran’ was formed on Wednesday in Golaghat. A meeting was held on the occasion at the office of a leading NGO of Golaghat called Pioneer Foundation, which was presided over by the president of the NGO and senior journalist Prakash Sarmah. In the meeting more than 30 people were present.

Model AWC inaugurated

MORIGAON, Dec 5: A model Anganwadi Centre (AWC) was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Rituraj Bora at Patiabandha, Laharighat. The centre will now become a model for other centres in Laharighat block. A door-to-door campaign on the occasion of the Matru Vandana Saptah was also conducted in the Patiabandha area.
