Taga calls for revival of APIDFC

Itanagar, April 28: Arunachal Pradesh Power, Industries, Textiles & Handicrafts Minister Tamiyo Taga urged the Centre for a one-time grant as special economic package to revive the Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development and Financial Corporation Ltd (APIDFC).        
The request came when the minister called on Union Minister for Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu in New Delhi on Friday and submitted a memorandum.
The memorandum also called for giving a push to food processing, medicine and dye produce, food storage, packaging and exports, prefab building and structures, wood industry, rainwater management, renewable energy with focus on solar and mineral mapping and minings, besides setting up of drinking water plants, sewage treatment plants, an official report stated on Saturday.
Giving a patient hearing, Prabhu assured of all possible support to the State in days to come, the report added.
