Talk on morality held

Dibrugarh, Feb 4: Centre for Character (Moral) Education and the Department of Philosophy, DHSK College organized a talk on morality on Saturday at the Sankardev Sabhakakhya of the college. On this occasion a lecture on the topic ‘Morality: Why and How!’ was delivered by Dr. Padmadhar Choudhury, Assistant Professor of the Centre for Studies in Philosophy, Dibrugarh University. In his lecture, Dr Choudhury said that being human beings were essentially moral who can take moral actions with freedom and responsibility. In this connection, he talked about what made an action moral and the difference between actions and happening. The talk was followed by an interactive session with the students. Dr. Sashikanta Saikia, Principal of DHSK College, urged the student community to follow morality in their day-to-day life. The talk was attended by the teachers and students of the college along with students of Public High School, Dibrugarh.
