Taloh accuses Governor of destabilizing Government

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

Itagar, Jan 8: Criticising the ‘arbitrary’ role of Governor Jyoti Prashad Rajkhowa, Education Minister Tapang Taloh has blamed the former for the current political turmoil in the state.

“The state needs a governor who works for development of the state and act as per the provision of constitution of India. Unfortutely, the present governor has a single agenda to destabilize the democratically elected and people-friendly government which is proven time and again,” Taloh asserted during a public meeting at Lokpeng village in Siang district on Thursday.

“Our forefathers have fought to make India free from the clutches of British rulers and now it is high time to safeguard our constitution. The governor had preponed the Assembly session murdering the democracy and to encourage a section of legislators to revolt against the democratically elected government,” he added blaming that the Governor has been doing it at the behest of the BJP government at the Centre.

Terming the governor as anti-developmental, the education minister said that he was encroaching in all executive business on regular basis which was hampering the state’s development activities.

“The people of the state have given absolute mandate to the present government to rule for five years for faster development. Therefore it is understood that the present situation is solely the creation of the governor who has been trying to set up altertive government in the state just to retain his chair as governor. It is unruly and unconstitutiol,” Taloh added in his address.

Further stating that rule of law should be established and unconstitutiol act should be stopped immediately bringing back dignity and respect to the constitutiol chair, the minister said that the unconstitutiol practice of the governor would paralyze the democratic rights of the elected government not only in Aruchal but others states of the country in coming days.
