Tarun Gogoi slams Himanta

Golaghat (Dhekial), Feb 20: The former Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi slammed State Education Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma while attending a meeting in Golaghat on Monday.

On the issue of leakage of HSLC question papers, Gogoi blamed irregularity and negligence on the part of the Education Department for the fiasco. He said that Himanta had been lying to the people of Assam about bringing vast changes in the education system.

Gogoi also criticized the BJP-led State Government as well as Prime Minister rendra Modi for failing to fulfill the promises made before the Assembly election. He said that the BJP had withdrawn schemes like Majoni Scheme, buwari Scheme and Moromi Scheme which had been launched for women empowerment.
