Tawang Calling Ride-2015 kicks off

Itagar, April 30: More than 50 bike riders from the state and outside are participating in a bullet ride to Tawang from Itagar. The bullet ride with theme ‘Tawang Calling Ride 2015’ is organized by the Aruchal Bullet Club to promote the upcoming Tawang Festival. Parliamentary secretary Home, Sports & Youth Affairs Likha Saaya accompanied by deputy chief councilor Itagar Municipal Council Kipa Babu flagged off the bullet ride from Akashdeep, here yesterday. Saaya lauded the Aruchal Bullet Club for organizing bike ride to promote the tourism potential of the state. Calling for tourist hospitality Saaya also urged the people of the state to cooperate in all the developmental activities and make Aruchal Pradesh one of best state in the country. The three-day Tawang Festival will start from May 1 next and is scheduled to be iugurated by Governor of Aruchal Pradesh Lt. Gen. (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma. Union Defense minister Manohar Parrikar and Union MoS for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju will attend the second day of the festival and chief minister bam Tuki will attend the fil day on May 3rd as the chief guest.
