Teacher assaulted by mob

SIVASAGAR, June 4: Sensation has been prevailing at Dilihi Dhaiali near Sivasagar following assault of a senior teacher named Deba Prasad Mohan of Dilihi Dhaiali School inside the school campus on Saturday by a mob. Alleging complaints of immoral hints to students by the teacher while imparting lessons, the irate group of both men and women dragged the teacher and humiliated him in front of his colleagues and students without taking permission from the headmaster. Later, both the students and teachers of the school stood by the teacher and spoke highly of his moral integrity before the media. The teachers filed a case against the mob violence in Sivasagar Police Station.
