BONGAIGAON, March 9: One person died in a road mishap on NH-31 C at Dhaligaon area under Dhaligaon PS in Chirang district on Monday. The deceased, Sirajul Haque (50), was a resident of galbhanga area in Chirang district and was working as assistant teacher in galbhanga ba Udaya High School. He was on his bike (AS 26 A 0936) when an oil tanker (AS-17-B 3117) knocked him down. He died on the spot. Later, police arrived and seized the tanker but the driver of the tanker had fled.
