Technical flaw in list of JHADC EMs' names: Minister

Staff Correspondent

Shillong, April 13: Technical flaws on the part of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) has led to the delay in approving the list of Executive Members (EMs), stated senior Cabinet Minister Prestone Tynsong while underplaying the threatened rebellion of the United Democratic Party( Jaintia Hills unit) to withdraw from the coalition.

“It is not that the Government is not ready to approve the names of the Executive Members; but the technical flaws due to clerical mistakes prompted us to stay the approval,” stated Tynsong, adding, “We have sent back the same with a request to correct the slight anomalies to make the process right.”

The UDP Jaintia Hills were up in arms against the State party leadership to the extent that they have asked the central party leaders to withdraw from the present NPP-led Government.  Their contention is that they NPP have deliberately delayed the approval of the names chosen to be executive members of the Executive Committee (EC) led by Moon Light Pariat.
