Tension in Sessa area after recovery of body

DIBRUGARH, August 10: Sensation has been brewing up following recovery of a body inthe Sessa river, about 14 km away from here under Barbaruah Police Station.

The deceased was later identified as Suresh Munda, a 26-year old youth of Sessa area. Munda’s body wore deep cut marks in various parts which made police believe that Munda was murdered and later dumped in the area. The body was sent to AMC for post mortem. “Police can ascertain the cause of death only after receipt of the post mortem report,” local people asserted. The recovery of Munda’s body at Sessa had sparked social tension among the people of various communities but due to timely intervention of police, the situation was brought to ease.  By observing all circumstantial evidences, the police have already launched a district -wide search operation to pick up one Laxman Modii, the probable killer of Suresh Munda. Modi, as per sources, is absconding. Police have registered a case under section, 302 and other sections of IPC.
