TET qualified teachers demand regularization of posts

KOKRAJHAR, February 9: The All BTC Contractual TET Qualified Teachers’ (Elementary) Association staged a two–hour dhar recently at Rasmela field in Kokrajhar in support of various demands. Demanding regularization the post of TET qualified teachers, hundreds of TET qualified teachers showing banners, placards, and festoons shouted anti–government (the BTC administration) slogans.  The teachers slammed the BTC administration for not taking any initiative to regularize TET qualified teachers. The teachers warned to approach the court if the BTC education department failed to fulfil their demands. Sunny Benjamin rzary, president of the Association said that the TET qualified teachers had been demanding appointment but the BTC education department had been ignoring their demands for which they were compelled to stage a protest against the injustice. The All BTC Contractual TET Qualified Teachers’ (Elementary) Association also demanded salary as per ROP–2010 and introducing new pension scheme for the all TET qualified teachers. The teachers also appealed to BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary to fulfil their demands or they would be compelled to intensify their stir. A memorandum was submitted to the Director of Education BTC, Kokrajhar, Assam.
