TET qualified teachers stage protest in Golaghat

Golaghat, November 26: The Golaghat district primary TET qualified association staged a sit-in near the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Golaghat on Thursday demanding to resolve various problems. In a press release, president Bijay Sankar Bharali and general secretary Bijit Das alleged that the government appointed as TET teachers as per  rules and regulation. But TET teachers were facing various problems. Further, they alleged that many times the reminded the authority to take initiative to resolve the problems but the government did not pay any interest. More than 200 TET teachers joined in the protest and shouted slogans against the Assam Government and demanded that their jobs should be regularized. They demanded that all TET qualified teachers should be regularized without any terms and conditions, paid remuneration under ROP-2010, grade pay should be provided to graduate trainee teachers, all government benefits like GIS, CPF should be provided, transfer to home district from outer district, provided PTR under Education Act 2009 and female teachers should be transferred to favourable place. Later,  they submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister  through  the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat with seven-point charter of demands.
