DHEKIAJULI, Jan 3: The 42nd annual convention of Tezpur Zila Bodo Sahitya Sabha began at Rangjali Pather of no. 2 Shantipur, 14 km far from Dhekiajuli town from January 2 with a two-day programme.
More 700 participants from different parts of Sonitpur district gathered at the venue. The convention started with the iuguration of Niran Patgiri Memorial Statue on Saturday. At 10 am on Saturday Munindra rayan rzary iugurated the Padum Chandra rzary stage. Noted social worker and BJP leader Benudhar th iugurated the representative assembly. Under the presidentship of Tezpur Zila Sahitya Sabha president Liladhar Boro, the representative meet was iugurated by the central member of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Joilen Basumatary. Different resolutions which were adopted in the meeting are to maintain peace and harmony, extensive use of Bodo literature , field publicity of Bodo literature and solution of different problems faced by Bodo medium schools. On Sunday after an open meet , the 42nd annual convention of Tezpur Zila Sahitya Sabha concluded.
