Tezpur girl to represent India in World Taekwondo Championships

TEZPUR, Jun 18: What can be great to have elated of a Sensatiol news for the people of Assam and particularly in Tezpur that a girl Rudali Barua brought glory to the state of Assam as she proved her mettle and has been selected by the Taekwondo Federation of India to represent India in the 2017 World Taekwondo Championships under plus 73 category to be held from June 24 to June 30 at Muju in South Korea.  She is a former Taekwondo Trainee of SAI and has been crowned of the Bronze medal in Kerala tiol Games including Gold medal in 35th Senior Taekwondo Championship in 2017 held at Vishakhapatm and All India Inter University Taekwondo Championship in 2017.  She is a daughter of Social worker, Anupam Barua and Ru Barua , inhabitants of Housing Complex, Nikamul Paruwa, Tezpur.

The iconic Rudali Barua is a near-perfect example of female athletic who keeping one’s feet firmly planted on the ground and during her interacting with this correspondent, she expressed her elation for being selected and bursting of her joy said that “I am really excited and for this I surrender all my success to parents as they have never try to cut my wings down and always motivates me to do better for the career I chose, adding further “I feel that in India,  women’s ability to participate in country’s overall events is obstacle by the low status ascribed to women and girls in Indian society which reflected in and accentuated  by the ked gender disparity in many social sector. But, I still believe that strong determition can demolish every barriers to achieve the dream, she proclaimed.

On the other hand, the all round astounding performance showcased though her incessant efforts and devotion; she has further been selected for World University Taekwondo (M &W) Championship 2017 to be held at Taipei in Chi from August 19 to 30, this is indeed great reward to her devotion and untiring efforts and her extraordiry achievement is unquestiobly a role model for the upcoming youth to do best.
