Tezpur Muslim body protests against Pulwama attack

Tezpur: Sadou Tezpur Muslim Samaj have condemned the terrorist attack on a (CRPF) Central Reserve Police convoy in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing over 49 jawans, including one from Assam’s head constable of CRPF jawan Maneswar Basumatary, on Friday at Bara Masjid Chowk.

The Tezpur Muslim community member showed solidarity with families of the slain jawans during the Friday namaaz. They paid tribute to the CRPF personnel killed in the incident and extended their sympathy to the bereaved families.

The protester were holding the tri-colour and placards and raised anti-Pakistan slogans. Najrur Haque and Isfaqul Hussain, member of Tezpur Muslim samaj said, “Thousands of soldiers are keeping our borders secure so that we can live safely. We mourn the death of the soldiers and blessed are those mothers who give birth to such brave sons. Indian government should give a befitting reply to Pakistan.”
