Thaosen files nomition for CEM of NCHAC

Haflong, February 12: Former Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debojeet Thaosen filed nomition for the election of the new chief Executive Member of N C Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) scheduled to be held on February 13 in presence of several Congress MACs to the Principal Secretary (Normal).

Following the voting out of the Chief Executive Member Niranjan Hojai of BJP on February 11 in no trust motion, the Chairman Ngamrothang Hmar fixed date of election of the date on February 13 accordingly the nomition was filed in favour of Thaosen.

Mukut Kemprai, PS (N) NCHAC informed the press that legislative department has received seven sets of valid nomitions in favor of Debijeet Thaosen of Congress party while no nomition was received from BJP or others in this election to be held on February 13 at 9 am.

Debojeet Thaosen, the lone CEM candidate talking to the media disclosed that during last few days he along with his team of members experienced many things through mistakes and challenges which are to be rectified.

He said now he is having a good team of members who would do more developmental activities.

Regarding the hike of DA by the previous BJP government Thaosen said his Executive Committee would pursue the Assam Government so that all the problems related to the salary of the normal sector in priority basis.

Regarding the alleged irregularities in the recent appoint, he said his EC would surely do the justice to candidates and he wants the genuine and meritorious should get the justice.
