It tells the story of Bharat’s character play by Salman Khan tracing his life over seven decades, from 1947 till the present. The man’s story is close there with that of India. Bharat marks the third collaboration of Ali Abbas Zafar with Salman Khan after Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
Talking regarding how she bagged the role, Katrina earlier aforementioned, “Ali and I are good friends, but when it comes to work, we are fully honest with one another. I read the script from start to finish in three hours and immediately called him to tell him that I loved it. I realized there was an opportunity of going the extra mile with this character. So, it had nothing to do with my friendship with Salman or Ali. In fact, Salman did not even call me after I signed the film. We met directly on the set.”
