'The Black Cat' to be screened at film fest

Biswath Chariali, July 20: ‘The Black Cat’, a short film produced and directed by Bhargav Saikia of Mumbai who hails from Biswath Chariali, has been invited to Film Quest, an Intertiol Film Festival to be held in the USA from September 8 to September 16. The film is based on the origil story penned by eminent English author Ruskin Bond while the script was written by Saikia himself. Well known actors Tom Alter and Shej Patel have acted in the film. Saikia’s two earlier films ‘Kafiron Ka maj’ and ‘Awakenings’ had received accolades in several intertiol film festivals.
