Thief arrested in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR, Aug 13: Sivasagar Police filly arrested Ankur Das, a notorious thief who had been avoiding the police for long. He was arrested from Konwerpur Sensuwa village in Sivasagar district by a team of police led by Lokth Basumatary, ASI, Sivasagar PS. He was accused in the burglary case no. 574/17 registered in Sivasagar PS. Das, who was also a member of the notorious bikers' gang. He had been creating terror in Sivasagar town and its adjacent areas with his constant theft cases.
