Things will change for better: Rajkhowa

ITAGAR, Jan 30: Aruchal Pradesh Governor J P Rajkhowa has called upon the youth to come forward and offer ways and means to harness the youth power and energy in the development of the state and the tion.

He invited their suggestions for exploiting their potential in games and sports, adventure activities and in competitive examitions.

The Governor also has appealed for the fullest cooperation of the youth in plugging the leakage of government revenues and their active participation in ‘Good Governce’, maintence of peace, commul harmony and good relationship amongst various communities of the state.

Interacting with members of Aruchal Youth Organization, who called on him at Raj Bhavan on Friday, the governor advised them to be watchful of any misusing of developmental funds, faulty implementations of projects such as roads, bridges, a Raj Bhawan release informed.

He asked them not to be confined to Itagar-harlagun only but to fan out to every corner of the State and apprise him of the true picture in those areas. He recommended for positive and constructive use of social media for such activities but at the same time caution them against wasting of time in it.

 “With public participation in monitoring the developmental works, things will change for better,” the governor opined.

Citing cases of harassment of some of tourists during the recently held Ziro Music Festival at Ziro by unknown miscreants, Rajkhowa advised them to motivate the fellow youth towards imbibing concept of ‘Atithi Devo Bhavo’.

He said that tourism is one of the wheels of fincial empowerment of the rural communities and people, particularly youth of India who are the future must take extra care that such unfortute incidents does not repeat.

The governor also advised the youth to involve themselves in availing benefits from new socio-economic upliftment programmes like ‘Mudra Bank’ and explore new avenues in tourism and entrepreneurship.

Appreciating the organization for their endeavour, particularly the proposed Youth Convention, the governor asked them to actively involved in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and popularize Digital India Mission, the release added.
