Third Barm tiol Drama festival concludes

Biswath Chariali, Jan 29: The third Barm tiol Drama festival concluded successfully at Bipani tya Mandir on Sunday with a three-day long programme. The festival was iugurated on January 26 by well-known playwright Tarun Saikia while the earthen lamp was lit by Dilip Borkataki, president of the organizing committee. The festival formally began with the presentation of a play by Barm, Ambika Gantha followed by Makarajal by Nibedan from gaon.
 The second day’s programmes included Shesh Shiksha presented by Mridangam from West Bengal and Angik by Assam Mime and Script Creation, Guwahati. Two other plays were presented on the last day, mely Kino Koun by Dapon-The Mirror of Tangla and Barsingaifu by Katha Prasanga of West Bengal. Eminent drama persolity Anup Hazarika was present as the chief guest during the festival.
