Third rank holder Samarjyoti wants to become a teacher

RANGIA, June 1: Samarjyoti Kalita of Rangia Shankardev Sishu Niketan secured 3rd spot in the HSLC examition, scoring 586 marks (97.7 per cent).  Samarjyoti, son of Kailash Kalita and Bulu Kalita of Garaka village here obtained 94 in Assamese, 96 in English, 100 each in Gen Maths and Social Science, 97 in Adv Maths and 99 in Gen Science.   Talking to the reporters, Samarjyoti said that he studied 8 to 9 hrs daily. All the teachers of his school besides his parents helped him a lot in his study. A good cricket player Samarjyoti also a book lover. He likes the books of writer Homen Borgohain and APJ Abdul Kalam. He wanted to be a good teacher in future. He will take admission in Cotton Collage.  Samarjyoti expressed his gratitude to his parents and teachers who helped him in his study. The newly elected MLA of Rangia constituency Bhabesh Kalita visited the school to offer his best wishes to the brilliant student and teachers. He also announced a sum of Rs 5 lakhs for the development of the school. He will also bear all the expenditure for the study of Samarjyoti Kalita.
