Third round of Special Immunization Drive in Hailakandi to begin soon

Hailakandi, Dec 6: The third round of Special Immunization Drive to cover the left out and dropped out children and pregnt women will begin in Hailakandi district from December 12, stated a press release.

A meeting of the District Task force chaired by Deputy Commissioner Moloy Bora discussed in details the plan of action and strategies to attain cent per cent immunization of children in the age group of 0-2 years and pregnt women.

Deputy Commissioner Bora directed the senior officials of Health and Family Welfare and block officials to put in all their efforts to bring all the left out children and pregnt women under the Special Immunization Drive.  Bora said the administration would extend all possible help and support to the health and block officials to make the immunization programme a success.  Joint Director U.C. Phangchu said the department had formulated a comprehensive action plan to bring under the immunization drive all the left out children and pregnt women. A power point presentation was also made on the occasion.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Additiol CM&HO, DPM, DME, consultants of WHO, UNDP and block officials.
