Those left out from final NRC must leave Assam: Axam Xahitya Xabha

NAGAON: Expecting grand success of the special session at Raha, a treaty was signed on Friday between the central committee of Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) and the reception committee of Raha special annual session of AXX.

In a joint meeting held at Lal Chand Tudi Bhavan in Nagaon town, the treaty was signed by the representatives of both committees. For AXX, in presence of president Paramananda Rajbongshi, the secretary general of AXX, Padum Rajkhuwa and general secretary of reception committee of Raha Special Session, Binu Laskar Thakuria reciprocally signed the treaty.

In an interaction with local media persons here, AXX president Paramananda Rajbongshi said that the Raha special session of AXX would be more significant for various issues of the State as well as the greater Assamese community. He said, “The stand of AXX in connection with the NRC is very clear. Those who will be left out from the final NRC must leave Assam. AXX will not compromise in any way, irrespective of caste, community or religion.”

Referring to the extraordinary significance of the Raha special session, the president remarked that during the session, AXX would take a stern decision on issues like NRC. He said that various veteran intellectuals as well as researchers of the country and abroad would be present in the special session at Raha.
