JORHAT, June 21: The 3rd Intertiol Yoga Day in Majuli was iugurated by Pallav Gopal Jha, the Deputy Commissioner of Majuli, in presence of Amit Das, Additiol SP (headquarter) among prominent citizens and members from Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Nehru Yuva Kendra, including members from various NGOs, local organizations, institutions and young bhaktas from the xatras at a well-organized district-level yoga celebration at the Kachari Maidan at Goromur in Majuli here on Wednesday. Pallav Gopal Jha called upon the participating individuals and teams to take part in yoga, which has been given a thrust globally in the past three years by the Government of India. Earlier, a procession by yogis from various organization, institutions and xatras was made more attractive to witness as they performed the various exercises while moving through the main thoroughfare of the Majuli island district headquarter, Goromur.
