Thowra AGP opposes alliance with Congress

DEMOW, Dec 18: With just three months left for the Assembly polls, political parties gearing up for the election in Thowra LAC. To woo the voters the ruling Congress started the politics of promises by iugurating various projects in every nook and corner of the constituency.

Along with the Congress, the Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) and the Asom Ga Parishad (AGP) also started their activities to woo the voters.  The AGP started “Ghare Ghare Agopo” programme.

The Asom Ga Parishad (AGP) leaders and workers of 107 No Thowra constituency said that they will not support Mahajot Bandhan with Congress will choose the candidates by themselves to contest in the upcoming election.  On December 22 in Demow Public Library, the Thowra Asom Ga Parishad (AGP) has convened a party meeting. The Thowra AGP clearly says that they will not have alliance with the BJP.
