Three arms smugglers bbed

TINSUKIA, July 22:  Based on specific inputs on the movement of few arms dealers in and around Makum and Digboi, Tinsukia police maged to apprehend three persons from different hideouts and recovered a .32 pistol from their possession recently. The operation was led by Lamhao Doungel ASP(Hq) Tinsukia and being assisted by Suprativlal Baruah DSP, officer-in-charge Makum police station  Bhaskar Saikia, a team from 15 Kumaon Regimentand 68 Bn CRPF. The arrested dealers have been identified as Rahul Bora (25) of Rongsongia, Pantik Sonowal (24) of Lakhipathar Bhekilajan and Kalyan Konwar (22) of No1 Putiapathar 2 Borbil under Digboi police station. In this regards a case has been registered at Makum PS and investigation is on to unearth the gun racket.
