Three arrested for mobile phone theft

ITANAGAR, July 14: The capital police on Friday arrested three mobile snatchers from Itanagar.

Itanagar Capital city, Superintendent of Police (SP), M Harsha Vardhan informed that on verbal information received from a student of Higher Secondary School in Itanagar, three boys on a black scooty snatched away the student's mobile phone near the school premises.

On receiving the information a police team led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer(SDPO) Itanagar Kamdam Sikom, Deputy SP Moyir Basar Kamdak and Sub-Inspector Surender Singh swift into action and arrested three accused persons within an hour from Gompa temple and monastery complex area.

SP Vardhan said that the snatchers have been identified as Yuchak Tana, Tadar Rar and Rohan Tamang along with snatched Samsung Mobile phone. A case has been registered at Itanagar PS Case No. 201/18 u/s 392/34 IPC

The SP further appealed all residents of capital complex to inform and report any incident, accident and crime that occurs within their area without fear or favour to the police and the capital police is at the service of the people. However,public cooperation is required to detect and solve any case.
