Three ATM robbers arrested

Bongaigaon, August 18: Three ATM robbers were bbed by Chirang district police on Monday night. The three robbers have been identified as Shibansh Dwibedi, Nijakat Khan and Anupam Mishra, all residents of Kanpur town in Uttar Pradesh. Rudra Kalita, OC, Dhaligaon Police station said that the complaint had been lodged by Alendra Basumatary, Headmaster of Kajalgaon High School. “According to Alendra Basumatary, he went to a SBI ATM in Kajalgaon to withdraw money on Monday evening. The three robbers had robbed his ATM card from there. After few hours, when Basumatary got withdrawal message on his mobile phone, he informed us. Then tracking the thieves, we arrested them from CK Hotel in Bongaigaon,” he said. A machine used to open ATMs, 25 ATM cards, one entry pass to Rajasthan Secretariat and many other documents were seized from them. A Tata Safari car (UP-78-CA-6477) was also recovered with them. The father of Shibansh Dwibedi is the District Judge of Kanpur and his mother is Chief Judge of Rajasthan High Court.
