Three Bangladeshis arrested for violating the Indian Passport Act in Assam’s Hailakandi

Guwahati: While the government and all other social organization are leaving no stones unturned to put a check on Bangladeshi Migrants and their illegal activities across the state, Assam Police arrested three Bangladeshi nationals from Hailakandi district for violating the Indian Passport Act, 1967.

Reportedly, the Hailakandi Superintendent of Police Mohneesh Mishra while speaking to Media informed that the arrested Bangladeshi nationals had valid passports with tourist visa but they violated the Passport Act by carrying out trade and business activities in the state.

"They came on a tourist visa but indulged in business activities," said Mishra.

The arrested Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Mohammed Hafiz Molla, Ayar Ali and Mohammed Bablu Molla from Bhulbari village of Gopalganj district in Bangladesh.
