Three BSF men hurt in Manipur blast

IMPHAL, February 8: Three personnel of the 49 BSF were wounded in a bomb blast this morning at pet Palli, just 300 metres away from the police station at Lamlai. The condition of constable Suman Ghosh from West Bengal is said to be critical. The personnel were on foot patrol at pet Palli in Imphal East district this morning. A sniffer dog ran away and searched the garbage under a small bridge there. It came up with a small packet in the mouth. As it neared the personnel the remote controlled bomb was detoted injuring three personnel, including sub inspector Jai Bhagavan of Harya and Gouri Lal of UP. A big crater was created at the site of the blast. The injured personnel were rushed to a hospital.  A joint team of police, Assam Rifles and BSF combed the area. Seven suspects were rounded up and bundled away to the Assam Rifles camp for further interrogation. Yesterday, one powerful bomb was planted near the BJP office which is just 20 metres away from Raj Bhavan.
