Three child labourers rescued in Tezpur

Tezpur: Acting on a specific input, a task force team of officials from Labour Department, DLSA and member of the CWC, Sonitpur led by Dhurba Jyoti Borah, Labour Inspector, Tezpur has rescued three minors from two separate places in Kaliabhumura and Batamari area in Sonitpur district engaged as commercial help.

Dhurba Jyoti Borah said, “Based on specific information, rescued in a joint operation of the DLSA, police officials of Tezpur Sadar Thana and CWC raided three boys from two separate houses in Tezpur area recently.

A 14-year-old boy in Kaliabhumura area, was rescued from the shop of Enamul Haque, Batamari area. In separate raid, another two minor boys of 11 years were rescued from the shop of Diljar Hussain and Abdul Ohid Ali from Bhitarkhuti area in Sonitpur district. Both the minors were handed over to Softseed for there rehabilitation.
