Kabul, May 23: Three civilians were killed and four wounded when a tractor ran over a roadside bomb in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province on Tuesday, an official said. The blast occurred in Kalan Kaichi village of Maywand district, Xinhua news agency quoted the official as saying. The official blamed Taliban militant group for the attack. Taliban uses Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to launch roadside bombing against security forces but the lethal weapons also inflict casualties on civilians. Afghan civilians continue to bear the brunt of armed conflicts as 715 civilians have been killed and over 1,460 injured in conflict-related incidents across Afghanistan in the first three months of 2017, UN mission data showed.
