Three dead, four injured in road mishap

Tezpur, Jan 25: Three vegetable traders died on the spot and four were critically injured in a road mishap on NH 37 (A) at Mazgaon Baruah Chuburi under Tezpur Police Station on Wednesday morning, police informed.

According to police, the ill-fated pick-up van (registration number AS-12-AC- 5176), on its way to Sulong,  in which these persons were travelling, collided with a truck bearing registration number AS-02E-6383 on NH 37 (A). The deceased were identified as Pran Das (45), Abdul Jabbar (55) and Fakaruddin Ali (35), police informed. The injured were sent to Tezpur Kaklata Civil Hospital.

Three injured persons,  mely Hitesh Das, Keshab Das and Saytendra Das, were later referred to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital and Akhil Sil was admitted in Tezpur Kaklata Civil Hospital.
