Three drug peddlers held

JOYSAGAR, April 22: Three suspected drug peddlers were held by police and Indian Army in two different operations conducted in Sivasagar and Charaidew districts respectively in the last week. A team of Assam Police held M. Zafar of Joysagar (Hatikush) in Sivasagar with a large quantity of banned drugs which he brought from galand for illegal trade, as revealed by the sources. Besides, the Army bbed two suspected drug peddlers from galand who were allegedly involved in drug trade and also recovered a large quantity of intoxicating drugs. Two different cases were registered in Sivasagar and Sori police station respectively and police authorities were investigating the matter.
