Three fall ill due to food poisoning

TINSUKIA, June 19: In a suspected case of food poisoning, three members of a family, besides a guest, were taken ill after consuming a fish bought from local Gopari market under Digboi PS on Sunday. According to reports, Bijoy Baruah (36), his wife Jots Baruah (32) and mother Bhanumoni Baruah (60) of Upor Mamoroni Gaon along with a guest Monomaya Goswami had consumed a fish during lunch in Bijoy Baruah’s house and fell ill. Initially, they were admitted at a local nursing home at Makum, but as Bijoy Baruah’s condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Tinsukia Civil Hospital on Monday.
