Three Hardcore Militants Arrested in Counter-Insurgency Operations in Manipur

Imphal: In a major success for the Armed Forces, three militants in Manipur have been arrested in a counter-insurgency operation.

Reportedly, a Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) militant was arrested in a search operation at Top Khongnangkhong in Imphal West District. The arrested individual has been identified as Kshetrimayum Rupachandra alias Dilimu.

On the same day, a United National Liberation Front (UNLF) militant identified as Huidrom Kapil alias Mongyamba Singh was arrested during a cordon and search operation Khuman Lampak. In Imphal West District. The arrestee held the rank of ‘sergeant’ in UNLF.

Earlier on September 11, a Kangleipak Communist Party-Noyon (KCP-Noyon) militant was arrested during a cordon and search operation conducted at the area of Komberei Keithel in Imphal West District. The arrested individual who has been identified as Khuraijam Robert Singh alias Bungobi. The arrestee was working under the command of an individual identified as one Lemba of KCP-Noyon.

In a follow-up action, another suspected KCP-Noyon militant identified as Waikhom Rutan Singh was arrested from Babubara in Imphal West District. (SATP Inputs)
