JOYSAGAR, March 19: The Amguri Police of Sivasagar district arrested three persons for allegedly murdering a tea labourer in Baghjan Tea Estate of Amguri on March 2. On the night of March 2, some people had beaten one Shakti Dandasi (35), a labourer of the tea garden and later he was admitted in the Amguri Civil Hospital. But on March 13, he succumbed to his injuries. The family members lodged an FIR and following this, Amguri Police arrested three accused on Monday. They have been identified as Rubul Kaya, Bishwa Mudi and Awaza Mudi of Baghbar TE. Police produced them before the CJM, Sivasagar court and all were sent to jail.
