Three held with arms

Bokajan, December 19: A search operation was conducted at the Assam-galand inter-State border area under Khatkhati police station led to the arrest of three youths and recovery of two .22 pistols with three live ammunition here on Friday. “Based on specific information, a joint team of Khatkhati Police and 155/E Bn CRPF launched a massive search operation in the Borlengri area of Bokajan and arrested three youths - Paton Lam, Voson Lam and Nokching Lomou of Taro Bosti, Borlengri. Two .22 pistols with three live ammunition were recovered from their possession. A case has been registered vide Kht PS C/No-129/15 U/S-25 (a)(1)/35 Arms Act. The arrested trio were produced before the court and remanded back to police custody.
