Three held with two camels

DHUBRI, May 21: Three persons were picked up with two camels from Jhapsabari village under Agomoni police station of Dhubri district on Saturday. A source in Agomoni informed that the camels were brought from West Bengal to Bhamandanga border village of Dhubri district and loaded in a pick-up van for transporting the camels to Gauripur for smuggling the camels to Bangladesh. But on a tip-off, a police team of Agomoni police station led by Officer-in-charge, Biswajit Bhadra rushed to spot and seized the van with camels and three persons allegedly involved in the smuggling were rounded up, a police source said.
