Three houses gutted in fire in Sivasagar

JOYSAGAR: Fire broke out in Bhakharipatty of Station Chariali in Sivasagar town on Tuesday night and three houses were gutted in the fire. State fire service team arrived quickly and was able to control the fire before it spread to other houses. The cause of the fire was suspected to be spark caused by firecrackers, sources informed. Meanwhile, in Betbari, about two classrooms of Betbari Srimanta Shankardev Shiksha Niketan were totally gutted in a fire mishap that took place on Tuesday night. Sivasagar fire service team finally extinguished the fire. The cause of fire has not been ascertained as yet.
