Three injured in mishaps

SHILLONG, Sept 18: A motorist and the pillion rider sustained injuries when they fell off the Scooty (AS01-BZ-3625) which skidded on a turning and fell into a drain. The Scooty was heading towards Shillong when the mishap happened at Quinine under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District on the Saturday evening. Emergency Service based in Umsning helped in shifting the victims Shiva (25) and Abhijeet (25) to Nongpoh Civil Hospital. Meanwhile, a pedestrian, Shoba Das (60) sustained injuries after he was hit by a moving car while walking on the side of the road. The incident happened at 14th Mile in Byrnihat under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District on September 14, night. The victim was later shifted to Byrnihat PHC and then to Guwahati Medical College in Guwahati, Assam.
