Three injured in mishaps

SHILLONG, Jan 5: A driver of a Maruti 800 along with a co-passenger sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling collided head on with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The vehicle was about to reach its destition when the incident happened at 14th Mile under Umling Block in Ri Bhoi district on Monday.  The victims, identified as Kharumnuid (39) and Robi Kharkongo (39). In another incident, a driver sustained injuries on Monday when the Maruti Alto 800 proceeding towards Byrnihat from Umling hit the road divider at 20th Mile under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi district.  The victim identified as Teiborlang Tangsong (33).
