Three injured in road mishaps

SHILLONG, July 4: Three persons including a woman were seriously injured in two separate road accidents in East Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi districts today. Driver of a vehicle (ML11–1015) sustained injures when his vehicle collided with a scooty (ML05N – 9157) coming from the opposite direction at Sohryngkham under Mawryngkneng block in East Khasi Hills district today. The victim identified as Lumlang Langstang (43) was later shifted to a city based hospital. In another incident a vehicle (ML05L – 5224) heading towards Jowai hit an auto rickshaw parked on the side of the road near ICAR on the Shillong by-pass at Pyllun under Umsning block in Ri Bhoi district. The driver along with a co-passenger of the vehicle sustained injuries. The victims have been identified as Present Bareh (33) and Daphi Passah (28). They have been shifted to a hospital in Shillong.
