Three kidpped in Garo hills

Shillong, Jan 10: Three traders were abducted by gunmen on Tuesday morning from a forest in South Garo Hills district, police said. According to police, the three were kidpped from Telekhali Forest Reserve area near Dumnikura village along the India-Bangladesh border. The trio who was a part of 11 traders from Dalu was on their way to Jadugre weekly market in a pickup van. Police said that when the abductors tried to waylay the vehicle the traders tried to flee and in the process three were held captive by the miscreants.  A manhunt has been launched by the police to rescue the three traders.
