Three killed, nine injured in gang attack in Dhubri

DHUBRI, December 7: Three persons were brutally killed and nine persons were critically injured in a gang  attack between two groups  at Chitolkati area under Bandiha police station in Dhubri district  on Monday morning. The  deceased persons have been identified as Abdul Matin Khandakar, Daraz Uddin  and Mahir Uddin  and critically injured persons, who have been  admitted at Dhubri Civil Hospital, have been identified as Rokibul, Golbahadur, Safiron, Samad Ali, Tapasi Bibi, Abdul Zabbar, Mahibul Hoque, Nur Alom and  Mahibul  Sk.  According to sources there was a land dispute for long time between Abdul Matin Khandakr and Dilbor Ali and today the incident took place when the group of Dilbor Ali carrying weapons  went to the disputed land and thereafter the group of Abdul Matin also went to the spot with weapons. Sources said that all the three deceased persons were members of Abdul Matin’s gang  and the injured persons are from both groups.
